#45 - Setting Goals for Nursing School

November 30, 20221 min read

Dear Future Nurse,

This time of year I hear students talk about goals. The problem with focusing on goals is that your attention is on the prize (what you’ll have when you reach your goals) & not on the process of exactly HOW you will achieve your goals.

Without the HOW, it’s easy to become discouraged, settle for lesser progress or give up entirely.

When you address the HOW, you’re focused on the habit or habits you’ll need to develop to succeed at your goals and maintain your progress.

If your goal is to get A’s in your nursing classes, consider the behaviors
you’ll need to repeat every week to make this happen. Repeated behaviors create habits & habits create HUGE results.

You've learned the 4 steps to getting A's. Are you ready to put these into practice?

Repeating these steps over and over will create study habits that are a GAME CHANGER in nursing school.

Need a refresher on the 4 steps?
1. Narrow your Reading
2. Take Effective Notes
3. Condense your Notes
4. Teach to Learn

Over the next few weeks in our private facebook community, we'll be breaking down each step, starting with HOW you'll narrow your reading this semester.
